If you are on a tight-as-a-drum budget for your wedding flora because you splurged on your wedding dress, don't despair!  Greenery garlands are taking weddings and tables by storm in 2017.  Wire them together, place them on the table, add some votive candles, PRESTO! you are done!!!  Easy on the wallet.

I love using eucalyptus greenery. The most common are the silver dollar eucalyptus. They are pretty and soft in the presentation.

There are so many varieties of greens to choose from. You can even mix them to make a statement.  Lemon greens greenery are beautiful for the deep green hue.  Olive garlands are gorgeous for their soft grayish hue.  Go to your local farmer's market for your greens. Michael's Craft store is great for the green floral wire, votive candles, and ribbon.

End of Wedding Season

This wedding season set a record high in elopements.  What a busy season indeed.  So many couples from all over the world stood before me.  Some elopements were super intimate and some brought close family and friends to witness their event.

I just want to say a heart warming thank you for entrusting me with your elopement.

I had the pleasure of working with awesome new elopement photographers.  Hats off to Kenji Photography Cejae Photography and Photos by Cherry.  They brought a whole a new look to my website with their stellar photos.  I look forward to working with you in the future again!

Good luck to all the newlyweds.  I hope to see you soon when you renew your vows.

Eyebrows Are the Big Deal

So, what do eyebrows have to do with weddings/elopements...EVERYTHING!

Most brides that stand before fill their brows beautifully.  After all, your eyebrows frame your face.

Imagine waking up with perfect eyebrows every morning.  One less thing off your wedding list for your BIG DAY!  A procedure to consider is microblading your eyebrows.  Also known as 3D eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow embroidery, etc.  It has taken the beauty and semi-permanent make up by storm.

During off season, I will be microblading eyebrows to prep brides for their big day in the coming months.  Want to know more, click on my website:  www.alluringeyebrows.com.

I decided to return to the beauty industry after taking a hiatus for a few years.  I love making brides beautiful.  I started as a bridal make up artist and now into eyebrow artistry.

So eyebrow microbladiing in Santa Barbara is available to you. Please plan your microblading procedure at least three months prior to your big day.  Since it is a semi-permanent procedure it starts to fade within the first three months. A touch is always recommended before your wedding day.  Pretty eyebrows are our friend!

Eloping to Santa Barbara and Weather

Wow, after weeks of hot weather, it seems like the heat is finally starting to subside which brings me to my blog topic of today.

Most couples and their guests coming from out of town assume that weather in Santa Barbara is always warm.  I always recommend to the couples and their guests that although Santa Barbara boasts warm tepid weather most of the year, once the sun sets it gets a bit chilly.  Nothing that a light shawl will take care of.  So pack your sweater or shawl and we look forward to marrying in Santa Barbara.

Tattoos and Weddings

In recent years, the "tattoo" convo has become more and more popular because brides are at a crossroad on what to do with their body art on their wedding day.  One bride said she paid a lot of money for her tattoos and wanted to show them off.  I asked her how much she paid for her wedding dress and it was $3,400.  I asked her how much her body art cost and she said it was only $1,500.  In this particular instance, being the dress cost more money didn't it make sense to focus on the dress and not the tattoos since you will be wearing your dress only once?

Call me old fashion, but the focus should be on your wedding dress and how beautiful you will look walking down the aisle in your gown. As an officiant who sees the bride walking down the aisle, I noticed that a lot of eyes are focused on the tats and not always on your beautiful dress.  I truly feel that the focus should be on your wedding dress that you so proudly pounded the pavement looking until you found the perfect one. A small cover up on your shoulders made of tulle will not only cover the body art (and probably make your parents proud) but will enhance the dress and make you look tres sexy.  Another option is to cover your artwork with makeup.  After the family photos remove your wrap, body make up and show off that awesome body art!
