I truly believe in the power of a heartfelt wedding vow. What makes it heartfelt? The ones that are believable that come from the heart. If it comes from he heart the wedding vow truly means something.
If couples are not into writing their own vows, as the officiant I have them repeat after me and then I give them the chance to speak words from the heart. These words have meaning because they come from the heart.
So don't fret over writing your own vows, speak from you heart. In my opinion, the most beautiful vows were not written or rehearsed. I have heard the most amazing vows come from the heart. I don't not put a time limit as how much you can say. I rather you take your time and spill your heart with love in form of words. They are certainly more powerful and believable. You will appreciate them better.
Even eloping couples are given the chance to practice the words from the heart. It makes it more personal and a chance to make the ceremony your own. So don't fret over the vows, let your heart speak for you.
Love and knishes,
